I have just finished the draft of yet another chapter. Chapter 5 is about the advantages of rhetorical reading, 11 pages long and full of references to different theories about rhetoric, EFL, grammar and fun stuff like that. (Yes, I know - but some of us actually do think grammar is fun!)
Now I'm all perky and energized, hence the English post. (I have to be in a special mood to do this in English - otherwise, it feels pretentious and phony.)
With another 11 pages, I must be at about 70 pages by now. And that means that I'll land somewhere at 75 pages with the two remaining chapters.
That means the swamp-o-metre is low today, despite the rain: 10
A 10 because no matter how perky I am right now, I still have this lead-ish feeling in my head. Something huge is holding me down, making sure I don't think of something else than my thesis for too long at a time...
But it's also fun, rewarding, embarrassing, intellectually stimulating, time consuming - and something worth blogging about.
